Madi Allen is a Calgary-based musician who’s equally at home behind a mic, at a piano, or with a guitar in hand. She studied pop and contemporary jazz vocals at MacEwan University in Edmonton, then earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Capilano University in North Vancouver. For more than 10 years, Madi performed at dueling piano bars throughout Alberta, captivating audiences by singing and playing their requests on piano.
With a voice that slips easily between pop sparkle and jazz smooth, Madi knows how to read a room and play exactly what it needs — whether that’s a high-energy hit, a soulful ballad, or a request scribbled on a napkin. Her music is all about connection, and her background as a music therapist has given her a deep understanding of how certain songs can reach people on a level that words alone can’t.
Madi is the kind of performer who makes you feel like the set was made just for you. She learns new tunes at lightning speed, delivers them with authenticity and emotional punch, and somehow still keeps the energy light, fun, and a little unpredictable. Her blend of skill, empathy, and spark leaves audiences feeling seen, heard, and a little more joyful than when they arrived.
After establishing her music therapy practice in Calgary, Madi got back into the studio to record her sophomore album, Melting In Your Hands. This is set to be released in early 2026.
